my visions
-
healed trauma
first and foremost, i am a trauma therapist. i am someone who passionately believes in post-traumatic growth, and i’ve dedicated the past decade of my life to understanding the different methods for getting there. i use an integrative approach with an emphasis on EMDR, IFS, DBT, polyvagal theory, inner child work, embodiment, and client-led spirituality.
-
embodiment
i believe we are all born with a deep connection to our bodies. we come into this world knowing that our bodies are the perfect vessel to carry us through this world. unfortunately, too many people benefit from disconnecting others from their bodies and creating hierarchies of comparison. i work to help liberate my clients from these perspectives, and therefore change their relationships with food, their bodies, and their own self-image.
-
reclaimed sexuality
sex and intimacy can be incredible and fulfilling parts of a romantic relationship. i work with men, women, and couples to rediscover their sexuality and unlearn the cultural conditioning that has created barriers to a satisfying sex life. i believe that it is never too late to create sexual chemistry with your partner, and i am particularly passionate about helping my clients discover amazing sex after sexual abuse.
-
environmental restoration
one of my greatest passions in life is protecting our environment. that’s why my podcast, Reimagining Ourselves, donates 100% of proceeds to organizations that directly work toward environmental restoration, indigenous reclamation, and urban gardening.
-
deconstructed spirituality
spiritual connection is foundational to my work. this is a topic that i love to explore on the Reimagining Ourselves podcast. i feel that we all have an innate connection with one another and with the divine. religious trauma has damaged this relationship for many, and i feel strongly that this connection can be reclaimed.
-
loving movement
throughout my work as a therapist, i have realized that we need to shift our understanding of health and wellness. i believe that our best fitness, dietary, and self-care habits are borne out of deep self-love and embodiment. i reject diet culture and harsh narratives about changing our bodies; instead, i suggest that we love ourselves enough to take good care of ourselves. this is the foundation of my coaching business, elevate.
